Yoga is a 10,000+ year old practice which creates self-awareness and inner peace.   Yoga makes you feel better.  Practicing the postures, breathing exercises and meditations makes you healthier in body, mind and spirit.  Yoga lets you tune in, chill out, and shape up -- all at the same time!

Yoga is good for what ails you. A regular yoga practice: reduces stress and tension, controls weight, reduces depression, heightens the senses, improves circulation, creates self confidence, increases energy and flexibility, stimulates the immune system, strengthens and tones the body, builds stamina, boosts self esteem, creates sense of well being and calm, and improves balance and coordination.

Kundalini Yoga is called the "householders' yoga" because it is for everyone!  If you can breathe, you can do Kundalini Yoga.  You can begin Kundalini Yoga at any age and in any physical condition. It is an ancient science of self-healing that uses exercises, breath work, mantra and meditation to create vitality in the body, balance in the mind and openness to the spirit. 

EN YOGA - A STYLE OF HATHA YOGA

(Ha means Sun, Tha means Moon.  Hatha Yoga is a practice of balancing our Sun and Moon aspects.  Said another way, practicing Hatha Yoga will bring balance to all aspects of you.)

Hatha Yoga is a physical exercise regime that utilizes different poses (asana) and breathing techniques (pranayama) for the purpose of stretching, strengthening, opening and relaxing the body. 

Different styles of Hatha Yoga have developed over the centuries representative of different master teachers' foci.  Our Hatha Yoga classes are called "En" yoga and are taught in a freedom-of-movement form, incorporating the best and the basics of the traditional hatha styles. They are fun and do-able for everyone!  We do not teach extreme yoga poses or offer extreme room environments.  These are wonderful yogas but only do-able for a small set of the population.  Our goal is for EVERYONE to feel comfortable doing yoga, so no contortions or high heat at The Bodhi Tree.  We are the perfect place if you are a beginner and/or not interested in a competitive atmosphere.
